About the Role
We are looking for a Performance QA Engineer to ensure the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of our software applications. You will be responsible for designing and executing performance tests, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing system performance. Your role will help ensure that our applications provide a seamless user experience under various load conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability tests.
- Identify performance bottlenecks, analyze system behavior, and provide optimization recommendations.
- Develop test scripts and scenarios using performance testing tools.
- Monitor and analyze application performance metrics and system logs.
- Work closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams to improve system performance.
- Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Document test results, defects, and recommendations for performance improvements.
- Stay up to date with new performance testing tools and best practices.
Requirements:
✅ 3+ years of experience in performance testing.
✅ Strong knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, k6).
✅ Experience with profiling tools and monitoring systems (Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic, AppDynamics).
✅ Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash).
✅ Knowledge of API performance testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured.
✅ Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).
✅ Strong understanding of networking, databases, and system architecture.
✅ Ability to analyze test results and provide data-driven performance recommendations.
Nice to Have:
➕ Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
➕ Familiarity with containerization and microservices (Docker, Kubernetes).
➕ Knowledge of database performance optimization (SQL tuning, indexing strategies).
➕ ISTQB Certification or equivalent.
